What could you do in 30 days, or 45, or WHATEVER arbitrary number you might name? What could you accomplish that you’ve told yourself (and every other freaking person who’s questioned you about it) that you CAN’T do, or are not yet READY to do just yet?
THIS is gonna be a different kinda post than you’re used to…
Let’s Make the Worst Deal of All Time…
What if I told you had 30 days, and not a day more, to get it done – the thing you’ve wanted and held off on, or avoided altogether? What if I told you that if you didn’t DO this thing, or START this thing, or ACCOMPLISH this thing in 30 days I WOULD absolutely murder you?
I know, I know. Bear with me…
What if I showed you, though, the weapon I’d use, and the place I’d bury you, and how I’d make it so that no one ever knew? What if I showed you I’d done it before and gotten away with it before, to make SURE you knew this was legit; that I was dead fucking serious?
Think about it.
It’s weird, I know. It’s morbid or whatever. Yadda, yadda, yadda. And it’s probably not the kind of thing you’re used to reading on “self-help” sites, or ANY kinda site pretty much (well, unless you’re visiting some sites I won’t be visiting). And obviously, I’m not coming to get anyone…
But, there’s a point to this. A very important point…
There’s a lot of things a lot of people NEED to do to start pulling themselves out of their crappy situations.
Sometimes it’s a job they need to get, and money they need to save.
Sometimes it’s a date they need to get, or a friend they need to make.
Sometimes it’s a home they need to move out of, and a place of their own they need to find.
But it could be ANYTHING really – a few pounds they wanna shed, a parent they wanna patch things up with, a freaking website about something they care about they wanna start (some personal experience there).
But all these things we NEED and claim we WANT, are avoided or put off or excused away, because of whatever other circumstances we think prevent us.
“Can’t get a job cause the markets not good.”
“Can’t get a date cause I’m shy and awkward.”
“Can’t move out cause I’m not ready or I can’t QUITE afford it.”
But in a Matter of Life and Death, Do You Think Your Excuses Would Matter?
But if I gave you 30 days to do those things, or start those things, despite WHATEVER obstacle or excuse you now give, don’t you think you’d do it?
Don’t you think if I said you had 30 days to get a job or die, you’d be VERY employed soon enough, despite whatever recession or lame job market?
Don’t you think if I said you had 30 days to lose that 10 pounds you’ve hated or die, you’d be bikini-thin soon enough, despite whatever hatred you have of working out or working hard?
Don’t you think if I said you had 30 days to get a date, or make a friend, you’d be hand-holding and bff-ing soon enough, despite whatever awkwardness you now have, or how many countless people you’d need to approach till SOMEONE said yes?
Don’t you think you’d end up living after all?
Don’t you think you’d do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING to get it done; that you wouldn’t give a shit how much you need to try or how much you might end up failing; that NOTHING would stop you if your LIFE were on the line?
So what exactly prevents that now? Why do we have to IMAGINE your life is at risk before you actually start living it?
It’s stupid.
Because if you could ABSOLUTELY do it in 30 days when your life’s on the line and you had no other choice, why do you still say you need 90, or 6 months, or a year, or whatever to even start trying?
You have 30 days.
Starting now…
Lemme know how it goes.

You know what? I think about this sometimes, lol. And I have finally started and done a lot of things that were on my list. Things that were making me feel depressed for not releasing into the world.
I think this month, my goal is to get AFAA certified (certified to be a group fitness instructor). I’ve been putting it off for almost a year now!
Oh sweet. Other people think a lil outside the box too, haha. Good luck with the certification, though, Udo. You’ll be glad you did it. Maybe not your very exhausted future students, though
